Zoo Time!

Today we hit the Dallas zoo with the Glasco's and had an awesome time. The weather was actually in the 70's so it was a perfect day to go. The girls had so much fun running around and seeing all the animals. The highlight of the day was getting to feed the giraffes. The girls LOVED that! Enjoy!

Happy 2011!!

We have started 2011 off right.... We of course have already had a crazy snow day so we all went outside and made a snowman. I was obviously not prepared for this type of weather so we had to use what we could find in our fridge for the snowman's eyes, nose, mouth and buttons. Nothing like olives, celery and jalapenos! Caroline had so much fun!

We also recently went to the Children's Aquarium and Caroline had a blast!! Caroline got to feed and pet a string ray, the kid has no fear of animals/fish. She is always the first in line to feed, pet, or brush an animal (she must take after me). The Aquarium is pretty great because everything is hands-on and eye level to a child. It was a GREAT way to start a Saturday morning!

Holiday Time!!

Well... our holiday has been action packed!! We took a trip down to Louisiana for Thanksgiving to visit the Loeffler family. Caroline rode the entire 8 hours without a peep. She was an awesome traveler. We got to spend a lot of time with Steve's family and had a great time! Ever since we got back from Louisiana it has been non-stop (just the way we like it). We went out to Terrell, Texas to cut down our very own Christmas tree. Caroline had an absolute blast. She helped Daddy and Grandad cut down the perfect trees. She even invented a game with Uncle Ben called tree jumping. She LOVED the little trees and decided it was pretty much fun to jump over them all. It was hilarious!! We cooked hot dogs by the fire and even roasted marshmallows. We had a great time. Nana and Papa came to visit us this year for Christmas and it was a GREAT visit. Caroline and I made homemade sugar cookies for Papa. As you can see from the pictures, she had a great messy time. I loved every minute of it even though I felt like I lost control (there was sugar and sprinkles everywhere). We celebrated Christmas Eve with my family at my parents house. Caroline opened everyone's presents and was pretty much the star of the show (only grandchild syndrome). We spent Christmas morning opening presents and lounging around at our house and then had lunch at my Aunt and Uncles house. We spent Christmas evening at my parents house opening more presents. Caroline was just a bit spoiled this year... We are truly blessed to have spent such a wonderful holiday with our family and friends. Happy New Year!!! Enjoy the pictures.
